Strong Extra-Firm Moustache Wax
Some moustaches are naturally obedient. Others require a firmer conversation. If softer waxes do not give enough control, an extra-firm moustache wax may be the better fit.
Quick answer
Bounder Extra-Firm Moustache Wax is made for strong hold, shaped moustaches, handlebar tips and unruly whiskers that need more control than a soft styling wax can offer.
When should I use an extra-firm wax?
- Your moustache loses shape too quickly.
- The tips need more hold.
- You are shaping a handlebar moustache.
- Your whiskers are coarse, long or determined to make their own arrangements.
Strong hold without the greasy business
The aim is control, not a shiny barricade. Use a small amount at first, warm it properly, then work it through the moustache before shaping.
Moustache wax or mustache wax?
In Britain, we write moustache wax. In the United States, many customers search for mustache wax. Bounder is made in England either way: a strong extra-firm wax for moustaches that need order.
Which product should I choose?
Choose Bounder 10g Tin to try the original Wax Industries wax. Choose the Bounder Triple Pack if you use wax often or prefer not to run out at a dramatic moment.
What about grey or white facial hair?
If your moustache or beard is grey, gray, white, silver or salt-and-pepper, see Buffer, the paler wax for lighter facial hair.
FAQs
A little goes a long, long way — Bounder is small but mighty! Other waxes are generally a basic blend of beeswax and petroleum jelly, or another oil, which have to be rubbed to be soft enough to apply and then harden as they cool.
Bounder is different. Its non-greasy formula works by drying, not cooling. So, to prevent it going hard in a big, half-used container, we offer a triple-pack of our standard tin. Always fresh and always convenient to carry in pocket or bag or purse.
When you first open a tin of Bounder it will be smooth, creamy and easy to apply.
A quick scoop with the back of a thumbnail and it is ready to tame your ‘tache.
However, if you have found a long-forgotten tin and the contents have dried out, do not fear!
Your Bounder can be easily revived and put back to work on your whiskers.
• Bounder can be revived by simply warming and stirring in a drop or two of rum or any other spirits.
• Warm it by putting a bit of paper in a frying pan (to catch any spills), place the tin on top (with lid removed) and very gently heat it on the lowest setting.
• When it is not quite liquid, stir in just a couple of drops of rum (or any other spirit - even just water, in an emergency)
• And “drops” means just that - do not add more than one or two; you can repeat the process if required.
• Turn off the heat and and let everything cool with the lid placed, unscrewed, on top of the tin. Be patient - do not test until it is at room temperature.
• Do not try and seal it whilst liquid as there is a high chance of spilling it (molten Bounder gets everywhere, instantly) and, even if successful, the vacuum created as it cools will make getting back into the tin with anything less than a pneumatic drill practically impossible.
We sell direct to keep prices a low as possible but if you have a store or outlet you’d like to see stocking Bounder then please ask them to get in touch with us. We have supplied businesses around the world.
